Bambina Feijoa

Bambina is a genuinely compact, dwarf feijoa cultivar, growing to only about 1.5 meters tall and wide — specifically bred or selected for small gardens, patios, and container growing, one of relatively few feijoa varieties suited to that scale. It is self-fertile, an uncommon trait among feijoa varieties, most of which need cross-pollination. The fruit itself is small and notably tart, but with skin thin enough that growers report eating the whole fruit rather than scooping out the flesh, unlike the more common practice with larger, thicker-skinned varieties.
