Chinese Apricot

Often called Mormon apricot due to its association with Latter-day Saint pioneer settlements across the American West, this tough, small-fruited Chinese-derived apricot type naturalized widely around historic homesteads throughout Utah, Idaho, and surrounding states, often surviving for a century or more with essentially no cultivated care — a living remnant of 19th-century westward settlement orchards.
