Conadria Fig

Conadria was bred by Professor Ira Condit at UC Riverside in the early 1950s, from a deliberate cross of White Adriatic and a Capri-type fig, and formally introduced in 1956 — its name is itself a blend referencing Condit and Riverside. The fruit is pale green, medium-sized, with strawberry-red flesh and a mildly sweet flavor; it is particularly well regarded as an excellent drying fig, alongside good performance fresh. Growers report it is a vigorous, long-lived tree producing heavy crops in both coastal and inland California growing conditions.
