Lynn's Favorite originates from the historic collection of Corwin Davis, the Michigan breeder also documented in this database as the source of Davis, Prolific, Sunflower, IXL, Convis, and Tollgate. It won "Best Fruit" at the 2014 Ohio Pawpaw Festival, a real, juried recognition. The fruit has notably thin, smooth, clean skin that resists blemishing even in wet years, and deep yellow flesh with a tropical-honey flavor profile. University trial data (Ohio State, 2019) found it one of the most productive cultivars by total fruit count per tree, and it shows real, documented resistance to Phyllosticta spotting, a genuine practical advantage in humid growing regions where that disease is a common problem.
