Mango Pawpaw
✓ VerifiedUnited States
Mango was obtained from a collector in Tifton, Georgia. Despite the name, growers who have tasted it directly note the flavor doesn't actually taste distinctly of mango — a genuinely deceiving name, per collector accounts, even though pawpaws broadly are often compared to a mango-banana flavor combination. It is known for vigorous tree growth, and Missouri long-term variety trials found it performed reasonably well, showing some genetic similarity in yield patterns to Overleese.
