Shanxi Li Jujube

Shanxi Li is a genuinely distinct cultivar from the similarly-named Li, also documented in this database, though closely related in character. It was genuinely popular in China in the late 1980s and early 1990s, at the time considered one of the country's major fresh-eating jujube varieties. The fruit is large with good eating quality, ripening mid-season, on a tree documented as precocious (bearing fruit at a young age) and productive.
